Professor Shafi Goldwasser (MIT) will give the 2016 RIA Hamilton Lecture

This year, the Royal Irish Academy's Hamilton lecture will be given by Professor Shafi Goldwasser and will take place in Monday 17 October 2016. Venue, time and booking details are not available yet. 

Shafi Goldwasser is the RSA Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in MIT, a co-leader of the cryptography and information security group and a member of the complexity theory group within the Theory of Computation Group and the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.

 

In recognition of her achievements she has received the A.M. Turing Prize (2012) the Gödel Prize (2001, 1993).  She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Science; the National Academy of Science and the National Academy of Engineering.
